재미한인장학기금 장학생 Korean Honor Scholarship

2013년도 선발 모집이 오는 6월14일 마감된다.

각 대사관이나 총영사관 통해 신청하세요-전문직 전공자들은 대사관 통해 신청하세요.

주미 대사관이 실시하는 재미한인장학기금

장학생은 57명을 선발할 예정으로

장학금 지급액은 1인당 1,000달러이다.

지원 자격은

미국과 캐나다 소재 대학 정규 학사학위 이상 과정에 재학 중인 한인 대학(원)생으로

최근 1년간 학업성적(GPA)이 3.5 이상(예능계는 3.0)이어야 한다.

미주한인 학생 유학생 포함 이다.

제출서류는

대사관 홈페이지(www.koreaembassy.org )에서 다운로드 받은

지원서, 성적증명서, 소속학교 교수 추천서, 에세이와 이력서(입상실적, 특별활동, 리더십) 등.

접수처는

각 총영사관 교육관실(Korean Consulate General in LA 3243 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90010 Attn: Education Dept.)이다.

한미장학재단 The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF)

is a non-profit 501(3)(c), volunteer-managed organization established to:

Provide scholarships to the Korean American students,

Encourage community and civic service as an integral part of leadership development, and

Nurture the sense of pride and confidence in Korean cultural heritage and tradition.

Our evaluation criteria include:

Our scholarships range

from $1,000 to $5,000 for college/graduate students

and $500 for high school students.

The types and the amounts of KASF scholarships offered by each regional chapter may vary so please review the programs offered by your region - click on "Apply For Scholarships" for more details.

Kinds of Scholarships

Our scholarships are funded by three major methods:

Chair Scholarships

Chair Scholarships are established through a one-time donation of $25,000 or more by individuals and corporations and a permanent annual $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a qualified student.

Designated Scholarships

Designated Scholarships are established each year by donors with $1,000 or more to be awarded to students in specific fields of donor's designation. The contribution can be made either as a one-time or on a continuous basis. Each student receives $1,000 or more depending on the donated amount.

General Scholarships

General Scholarships are provided by the fund generated from various fundraising activities, other donations and/or board of director dues. This fund also pays for High School Scholarships.

Since its founding in 1969, KASF has awarded a total of $xx in scholarships to xx students.
